Morning Walk, 17th May
I am not obsessed with sheep, honest. I like working out who belongs to whom. The lambs are quite independent, but if the mothers call, they all zoom back immediately. There are several twins, and one ewe (who is looking extremely ragged, unsurprisingly) has triplets.
The sheep are very, very keen on cow parsley flowers. From a field which looked like this:
they've reduced it to this:
The campion's come out really quickly. I thought it would take a few more days, but here it is.
Dog's nose was charmingly studded with water droplets, but proved almost impossible to photograph as she kept trying to lick the camera.
