What information do we collect about you?

We collect information about you when you sign a contract to use our products or services. We also collect information when you voluntarily provide feedback. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

How will we use the information about you?

We collect information about you to process your order, and deliver any services you purchase. Jane Badger Books will not share your information for any purpose with other companies.

Marketing

We do not currently operate any form of mailing list. Should this change, this privacy policy will be updated to reflect the GDPR regulations. You will, if a mailing list is set up, have the right at any time to remove yourself from it.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us at:

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. We will respond to any requests within 1 month.

How long do we hold information?

Invoice information is kept for as long as is required by HMRC. It is then destroyed by shredding (cross-cut shredder) or secure file destruction.

Documents submitted are kept for a year in case of queries, and are destroyed as above.

Research information (e.g. information on authors and their backgrounds) is kept indefinitely for the purposes of scholarship.

How do we keep your information secure?

We use anti virus software, anti malware software, and backup software. Email programs used are encrypted. All machines are password-protected. If possible, access to programs is by two-factor authentication.
